024 Squash in Neve Sharet

43 Raoul Wallenberg, Neve Sharet

Architects: Erez Lukatz (concept architect); Zvika Kanonich, Studio Kav BaNof (the complex planners), 2021

Come and get acquainted with this unusual sports facility, the first of its kind in the world, which is located at the country club in Neve Sharet. It contains four transparent squash courts six meters in height, which were manufactured in Germany and assembled in Israel. The courts, each 70 m2 in size, are made of a steel frame and are enclosed by tempered glass, including a floating glass floor. Computerized lighting and a sound system have been incorporated in the courts. During the tours with the architect Zvika Kanonich, participants will hear about the unconventional specifications that were integrated into the facility, which meets the standards set by the World Squash Federation, as well as the design concept.

The construction of the facility was an initiative of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, carried out by Ganei Yehoshua Ltd.
