036 Maggid Community Center

63 Nordau Blvd.

Architects:  BEA Architects and Town Planners, the architect, Batia Svirsky-Melloul, and the architect, Alessia Tonetti-Guy; Interior design: Nicole Rosenbaum, 2024

Visits at the new five-floor community center on Nordau Boulevard, which houses a number of functions that serve the entire community, from preschoolers to senior citizens: an urban parlor, a communal kitchen, preschools and kindergartens, a library, an auditorium and spaces where a variety of activities can be held. There is also a café and a plaza that faces the boulevard.

The visits will start with a brief presentation that will explain the organizing architectural principle underlying the center: a division between public spaces open to everyone, such as the urban parlor, auditorium and library, and spaces that have separate courtyards, such as the preschools, kindergartens and daycare facilities, which are closed to the general public.

Following the presentation, there will be tours that will also pass through the sports library that connects two of the floors in the building.
